Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT

Mercedes-Benz is one of the companies that accepted the challenge and created a new, futuristic conceptual vehicle. AMG Vision GT was presented at the opening of the Mercedes-Benz Research and Development Center in California.
The manufacturer states that the front radiator grille is inspired by a remarkable model – 300 SL, the Gullwing from 1952. Although the new grille is not exactly the same, the interpretation looks pretty amazing. It also features LED lights which may be arranged in different light patterns.
Vision GT is powered by V8 engine that produces 585 hp and 800 Nm torque with the help of two turbochargers. It is not mentioned officially, but it is probably the same engine that powers Mercedes-Benz‘s SLS. Vision GT weighs 1385 kg (3053lb) which provides the ability of breath-taking acceleration. The exhaust system is also very impressive – the visible exhaust pipes are 8, placed above and under the rear stop light. According to Mercedes-Benz, the interior has some elements from Formula 1, but without being so minimalistic. There are sport seats and floating tool panel above steering wheel.
